Silver Lake is a fishing paradise.
Besides the regular Rainbow and German trout planted by California
Department of Fish and Game, specially raised trophy size fish are planted
in Silver Lake courtesy of the League to Save Sierra Lakes.
3300 lbs. of trophy size Rainbow trout were planted in 2006 and the yearly
planting will continue for the next 9 years. Silver Lake
is a home to Rainbow, German Brown and Mackinaw trout that range to over 20
lbs. in size.
