Watercolor Workshop with Linda Erfle

August 24-29, 2008

Linda Erfle produces works of representational art through the mediums of transparent watercolor and/or gouache. She finds inspiration for her paintings everywhere, from botanical subjects, to deteriorating objects, people and her favorite, the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Since completing numerous college Art classes at San Jose State University and Cosumnes River College, Linda has gone on to study with Anita Wolff, Jill Figler, Ken Potter, Dale Laitinen, Jan Kunz, Judi Betts, Cheng-Khee Chee and Jane Hofstetter.

The Highlight Gallery in Mendocino, the Davis Artery, Flowers of Main in Placerville and seasonally, the Kit Carson Gallery at Silver Lake display Linda’s paintings.

Linda’s watercolor work has been published in; The Best of Flower Painting, by Northlight Publications, Copyright 1997, International Artists Magazine, issue #24-April/May 2002, 100 Ways to Paint Still Life & Florals, 2005, By International Artists . A number of her paintings are included in A Painters Guide to Design and Composition by Margot Schulzke, published by Northlight in 2006 and the magazine Watercolor (an American Artist publication), has featured Linda in an article for Winter 2007.

Now a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, Linda has been honored with an award for the 86th annual, 2006 exhibition. Her painting, “Fresnos” will be included in the 2008 American Watercolor Society’s 141st Exhibition in New York City.
